Green Valley Analytics’ CEO and co-founder, Jonathan Ferguson, graduated from Alfred University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer at Shaw Stone & Webster, retrofitting flue-gas desulfurization systems in fossil power plants. He became a project manager for several large projects. During this time, he learned and became proficient in managing large, complex, high-dollar value projects.  

In 2008, Jonathan left Stone & Webster and began working as a Custom System Design Engineer at MilliporeSigma in the Milli-Q Lab Water Solutions group. He spent 4 years designing large, building water purification systems for the Life Science industry before joining the field sales organization as a Field Sales Specialist.  

For the last 10+ years, he has been providing high-purity water purification systems and equipment to industries such as Academic Research Institutes (Yale, UConn, UMass & Stony Brook), large pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer, BMS & AbbVie), DOE facilities (Brookhaven National Labs) as well as food & beverage and testing labs.   

It is during this tenure that he developed a passion and understanding of the significance and importance of accurate testing and research on consumer products such as cannabis. He is also an enthusiastic home grower and has used cannabis for years to help deal with ADHD and anxiety in place of pharmaceuticals.   

Jonathan is now the full-time CEO of Green Valley Analytics and is dedicated to bringing fast, accurate, and accessible cannabis testing to cannabis cultivators and manufacturers in MA. 

Jonathan currently resides in Easthampton, MA, with his wife Anna and 1-year-old baby Spencer. 

Green Valley Analytics’ President and Co-Founder, Mark Zatyrka, has extensive experience owning and operating companies. In addition, Mark Zatyrka has significant cannabis business, healthcare business, and non-profit experience. He is also well-recognized in Western Massachusetts and New England for his philanthropic work and advocacy for patient rights.  

Since its inception, Mark Zatyrka served as Insa’s CEO between 2016-2020. Insa is a multi-state vertically integrated cannabis operation. Insa operated one of the largest cultivation centers in Massachusetts. In addition, Insa also operated its own manufacturing extraction lab, kitchen, transportation, medical home delivery, and four dispensaries. Through his experience in the cannabis industry and healthcare/specialty medication dispensing, Mark Zatyrka is highly experienced in running heavily regulated businesses that ensure patient safety and full compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Before Insa, Mark Zatyrka was an owner and Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Public Relations for approximately fifteen years at the American Homecare Federation (AHF), a national specialty pharmacy. AHF was purchased by Diplomat and shortly went public thereafter.

In addition to being a successful business owner, Mark Zatyrka served on the board of directors for the AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts, and also co-founded the Connecticut Hemophilia Society. Mark Zatyrka also served on the board of directors for Save One Life and the Fund for Genetic Equity and has been highly active with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp for kids living with chronic and terminal illnesses founded by Paul Newman.

Mark Zatyrka has received many business and community awards, including Massachusetts’ Business West 40 Under Forty Award, Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Award, Patient Services, Inc.’s (PSI) Lifetime Achievement Award, Hemophilia Federation of America’s Humanitarian of the Year Award, and a State of Connecticut’s Official Citation for his work on the CT’s Bleeding Disorders Task Force.

Mark loves spending time with his two daughters, wife, and two dogs.
